FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where is my package?

Shipping times can vary, but orders within Canada and the USA typically arrive within 10 days. Delivery may be quicker depending on your location relative to the West Coast.

Please use your tracking number to check the status of your package before reaching out. If the estimated delivery date has passed and you have not received your order, contact me, and I will look into it for you.
Can I return an item if I don’t like it?

I understand that sometimes a tarot deck may not resonate with you, or an item may not be what you expected. However, I do not accept returns or offer refunds on any purchases.

If your deck isn’t the right fit, I encourage you to pass it on to a friend, trade it, or gift it to someone who may connect with it. I appreciate your support and understanding!

My package was returned to the sender. Can it be reshipped?

If your package is returned due to an incorrect address or failure to claim it from the post office, I can resend it. However, postal services charge return shipping fees, as well as additional postage to send the package again. These costs will need to be covered by the buyer before I can reship the order.

If you believe your shipping address may be incorrect, please contact me as soon as possible after placing your order.

Why hasn’t my order shipped yet?

I strive to ship all in-stock orders as quickly as possible. However, if you ordered a preorder item, it will not ship until it is back in stock.

Preorders can sometimes take weeks or months to arrive, but I provide as much information as possible in the product listing so you are aware of expected wait times. Updates on restocks are shared via social media and my mailing list.

Where does the "Fox" name come from?

This is one of the most common questions I get! Fox on an Island was created after moving to Gabriola Island, but the name “Fox” has been with me since childhood. It originally came from a fun naming game—your "soap opera name" is your middle name plus the street you grew up on. That’s how Taylor Fox was born!
What is the difference between The Fox Tarot: Pips Edition and The Fox Universe: A Self-Care Oracle?
This is another frequent question, and I’ve done my best to make the distinction clear throughout the website.
-
The Fox Tarot: Pips Edition is a traditional tarot deck that incorporates astrology elements, with astrological correspondences included on the card reversals.
-
The Fox Universe: A Self-Care Oracle is an oracle-style deck that follows a reimagined tarot framework with a focus on self-care. It’s completely different from a traditional tarot deck in both structure and purpose.
Why is it called "Pips Edition"?
When The Fox Tarot was first created in 2017, the Minor Arcana followed a “pips” style, similar to playing cards—each numbered card (Ace to 10) featured a simple design with the corresponding number of symbols but no additional imagery.

In 2020, I began working on an illustrated edition featuring full artwork for the Minor Arcana, inspired by the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith tarot imagery.

Some readers prefer illustrated decks because the images provide visual cues to the card meanings, making them easier to interpret. Others enjoy the minimalist design of a pips deck, especially if they already have the meanings memorized. In general, pips decks tend to be better suited for experienced readers, while illustrated decks can be more accessible for beginners who don’t want to rely on a guidebook as often.
